The Costa Blanca offers virtually year-round sunshine making it one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. The Northern part remains one of the most scenic areas of Spain, where unspoilt fishing villages and historic towns lie between miles of beautiful rock coves and white sandy beaches, most of which have received the prestigious European “Blue Flag” award for safety and cleanliness.

There are long white sandy beaches with lots of restaurants, bars and children's play areas. Here you can find the famous spectacular Calpe Rock rising 332m high which dramatically divides the two beaches. There are many other bars and restaurants in Calpe and nearby offering varied top quality local and international cuisine that cater for your every taste (Greek, Dutch, German, Belgian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, French etc). Calpe old town has narrow streets, steps and is very picturesque with its museums, colourful paintings on the walls, traditional tapas bars and quaint park areas. There are well preserved Roman & Moorish remains which are evidence of Calpe’s rich history. The salt-lake on the edge of Calpe is home to flamingos and numerous other aquatic birds. A 25% deposit is required with your booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before the holiday commences. Only a minimum of two weeks bookings are normally accepted during the peak period. There is also a £200 damage/breakage deposit payable with the balance which is refundable after the end of the holiday. We regret that we do not accept bookings from single gender groups or those under 30, as this is a family home.

Winter Lets. It can get quite cold between November and April in the evenings. Due to the extra costs of heating at this time of the year we would have to make an additional charge to cover this. The electricity meter would be read on your arrival and departure days and the cost would be calculated from the meter readings. A deduction would then be made out of the Security Deposit which would increase to a minimum of £250 and the balance would be returned to you. This appears to be the usual method in the area.
The villa has electric oil thermostatically controlled fixed radiators, with timers, in the two larger bedrooms, shower rooms, hallway and lounge/diner (two). There are also two freestanding electric fires and three fans which can be moved around.
A car is advisable and we can direct you to an excellent hire company who, we have found, are the cheapest. Alicante is the nearest airport and is less than an hour’s drive away; although there are also flights to Valencia which is about 30 min. more. There is a coach direct from Alicante airport or a coach from Alicante airport to Alicante City and a train or coach from here to Calpe.
